Do your kids need a little extra motivation to get their chores done? Is it hard for them to get their summer reading finished? Trying to encourage them to practice the piano? Sometimes it can be hard to help your kids be motivated to get a mundane task done. I have used Reward Punch Cards with my kids here and there when they were struggling to get something done. So I created some Summer Punch Cards that can be used for a variety of reasons this summer.
The premise behind these cards is that you or the child can choose something they are trying to accomplish or get done without mom or dad having to nag them. You can choose whatever that is with these “generic” punch cards.
For example, if Johnny is having a hard time getting his room cleaned or his bed made, simply set up a reward for a certain amount of punches. If he keeps his room clean 5 days in a row (or 5 punches), he can have 1 hour of computer time…or whatever works for your household.
When he has completed the task you simply punch the card and then he is allowed to use his reward. I have included a lot of punch marks on the cards so if you want them to fill our a whole card, you can make the reward larger depending on how much work it takes to get an entire card punched.
You can also use these cards to reward good behavior if that is an issue for your child. Really, the uses of these printable punch cards are quite versatile.
