Today I would like to share with you my son’s Orange Julius Recipe. He loves to bake and be in the kitchen. He has even expressed a desire to start his own recipe blog, which I think would be a lot of fun for him.
He is also taking a required Home and Family Class at school and is right in the middle of the cooking portion of the curriculum. He came home from school really excited about the Orange Julius he had made earlier that day, and asked if he could make it for us as an after school snack. Ummm…yes please! It was delicious! And since he is a reader of my blog, I thought it would be fun to post his yummy recipe here to share with all of you. This recipe tastes just like the real Orange Julius they used to have in the mall when I was his age.
Orange Julius Ingredients:
6 oz. frozen orange juice concentrate
1 cup milk
1 cup water
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup powdered sugar sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract 8 ice cubes
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients except ice cubes in blender.
2. Blend for about 1-2 minutes and then add ice cubes one at a time.
Didn’t he do a great job? Yum!

MMM, MMM, GOOD! Can't wait to make the Orange Julius. Your son did a good job :)
Thanks for the Orange Julius recipe! We still have them here in Canada at all of the malls so it will be fun to compare!!…and those cupcakes look fabulous!

Growing up we used to add an egg. I don't know why a raw egg would be good but that's what we did and we used only sugar. I am excited to try yours out. I also have found my old recipe for German pancakes from the days in home ec. My kids love them and they are packed with protein…win for me.
That looks delicious! I think I will make this for my kids when they home from school.

I am going to make the Orange Julius this morning for my hubby- he LOVES them. I was just wondering how much it made. Enough for two people? Can’t what to try it!!
Love, LOve, LoVe when my kids cook. My daughter started a cooking blog to tell about her journey in learning to cook. If your son would like to share recipes check out icantoooocook.blogspot.com. The blog has been great for our whole family because now each of girls have taken a day to cook and my requirement for menu planning and cooking has been cut in half.
I just made these with my kids and OH MY GOSH!!!! So stinking YUMMY! You were so right, they do taste just like the ones in the mall if not better. Thank you so much for the recipe. I think we will be making these way too much for here on out.
I love Orange Juliuses…when I was a kid it was one of the recipes I first learned to make, and we made them a lot! Yum!
Do you have the recipe for those yummy rainbow cupcakes??? What type of frosting did you use on top?
this look so yummy!
Can you change it to strawberry?
Sure. You may have to experiment a bit to get the flavor right. But strawberry sounds delicious!
