Is your Kitchen Pantry in need of a major makeover? Today, I will be sharing some Organized Kitchen Pantry Room Ideas to help get you inspired to start putting together your own perfectly organized pantry!
Pantry’s are used on a daily, sometimes hourly basis. An organized pantry is a must if you are a busy parent on a tight schedule. We don’t have time to be rummaging through things to get to what we actually need. Having an organized pantry also helps with lowering the cost on your grocery bill because, you are not buying items that you don’t need. I believe when my home is organized, my life goes a little bit smoother. Don’t you? I’m excited to share with some some pantry room ideas to help you get your pantry items organized this year!
NO PANTRY? NO PROBLEM
What do you do if your small kitchen doesn’t have an official walk-in pantry or space for your food storage? There are several things you can do to create a space to store your food items even if your kitchen layout is small or doesn’t have a dedicated pantry space. Some of the most common storage solutions to add more food storage in your home:
PANTRY IDEAS
- Add Shelves– add a shelf to your wall or a bookshelf that you can store food items on to increase your food pantry storage space. Use cute jars and labels so that it is pretty to look at in your open shelving space.
- Use Baskets or Bins– on a shelf or in a cabinet to hold those items that are not pretty to look at that you want to store items in.
- Store items in drawers– Drawer space can be used to easily store items out of sight that you want access too.
-
Utilize pantry door– Grab a storage rack or door storage unit to add some extra storage to the back of a door in your kitchen. It will stay hidden and out of sight but increase the amount of storage available in an other wise unused space.
ADDITIONAL ORGANIZATION IDEAS
- Use a Closet– If you have a closet in your space that is close to the kitchen you can use that to store your food items in. Most of the time if you can declutter and consolidate items, you can free up a closet or some space to make your storage more efficient and useful.
- Install Racks– Install some racks in your cabinetry for cans or spices. This will allow you to make the most use of your space and maximize the storage capacity of each cabinet or cupboard. You can also install a rack to hang cleaning tools or pots and pans from to free up additional cupboard or drawer space.
- Small Appliances- evaluate and get rid of any small appliances that you rarely use. You can also store them in an area that is not in the kitchen and save the kitchen space for items used more often.
- Maximize Counter Space– If you are low on space, get rid of any unnecessary kitchen counter items or decor. Store your bulk items like flour or sugar in glass jars on your counter. Add cute labels and make your storage of these items part of your kitchen decor. Decorations and storage in one cute display! You can add any dry goods in glass jars and display them on open shelving with cute matching labels for a beautiful display.

WOW. Those are some beautiful pantries! Mine is fairly organized, but doesn’t look like any of those. I have a mixture of different storage boxes, including “repurposed” cardboard. But this may have inspired me to loftier aspirations. :-)
