Happy Fall, Y’all! I’m Kristen Duke from Capturing Joy, and I live deep in the heart of Texas. Austin, that is. I love to share anything that promotes fun memories in the family, along with photo tips for the budding photographer. Today I’ve got a cute little Fall/Halloween treat to make with the kids that they will surely love. I know my kids did. Best of all, it’s suuuuuper easy and quick, my favorite! It’s great for any get togethers/parties, or just to make at home with the kids. I call it my Chocolate Cup Pumpkin Patch.
You may be familiar with the Oreo dirt cake, well that’s at the bottom of the chocolate cup. And those chocolate cups? You could probably make the, but I found them on the shelf at my grocery store, near the chocolate chips. My 7 year old daughter helped me fill them with chocolate pudding, then sprinkled on the Oreo’s, and placed a candy corn pumpkin inside each one. Here is a quick picture of your supplies:
It’s a fun kids activity, and great to bring to a party and WOW everyone, too.
The quick and easy steps for the Chocolate Cup Pumpkin Patch:
- Arrange chocolate cups on plate
- Fill half way with chocolate pudding
- Sprinkle with crushed Oreo’s
- Place candy corn pumpkin on top
- Enjoy!
I’m always looking for ways to get the kids involved in the kitchen, and this is a great one for the holidays!
