I have been enjoying playing and crafting with paper lately. I LOVE paper. I could never give up my paper notebooks or read books on an electronic device. I just love the feel and smell of paper too much. So I thought it would be fun to create some Easter Paper Carrots which can be used for your Easter Decor, or as an Easter Gift.
They are so cute!! You could even use them for the kids to play with in their pretend kitchens! A whole set of paper fruits and vegetables would be so fun!! I really like these because they can be filled with your favorite Easter Candy and placed in the kids Easter Baskets or given to the kids in Sunday School!
Materials Needed:
Easter Candy (optional)
Printable Easter Gift Tags (optional)
Directions:
1. Place your orange card stock (scrapbook paper) into your printer paper tray. You may need to cut the 12 x 12 paper down so that it fits into your paper tray.
2. Print Paper Carrots Template onto the card stock using your home printer, so that the template prints on the back of the paper. Check your printer settings to know how to place the paper in your printer.
3. Cut around the lines.
4. Punch holes in the tops of the carrot (see in the above photo). These are so you can run the ribbon through the top of the carrot to tie it shut. Do NOT punch holes if you want to glue the top of the carrot together.
5. Roll the paper so that it looks like a carrot. Carefully line up the first and the last section of the carrot. Glue this section together and hold until the glue sets.
6. Glue the bottom round tabs of the carrot together by glueing one round tab at a time until all the tabs are glued together. Hold until the glue sets. This will form the bottom of the carrot.
7. Run a piece of green ribbon through the holes of the carrot.
8. Fill with candy at this point if you are adding it.
9. Tie the ribbon into a bow to finish off the carrot.
10. Add an Easter tag if desired.
Aren’t they fun?! I love how “realistic” these paper carrots look! You can make them more realistic looking by adding some lines to the paper carrots. Or make them fun and creative by changing up the paper and the ribbon that you use to create them!
I think they would be a fun little gift idea for the grandkids or the kids. Just pop them into the Easter Basket filled with their favorite Easter Candy!
Go ahead and make some! Or let the kids have fun making them!

What sweet little Easter favor packages! I absolutely love paper, too. Wrapping paper, scrapbook paper, cardboard…all of it! Ever since I was a little kid.
