Keep track of the food in your pantry, freezer and fridge so you know what you have on hand for making family dinners. Food Inventory Sheets are also helpful to determine what to purchase from the store to stock up on your ingredients.
FOOD INVENTORY
Tracking your food inventory can be a very helpful tool for determining your weekly and monthly meal plans. You can check out my helpful Meal Planner Binder here. I like to use these food inventory sheets to keep my pantry, freezer, and fridge stocked with the essentials that my family uses on a regular basis.
It is also nice to keep a long term food storage of non-perishable food items on had for times of emergency. This helps you rotate through the food items so that they stay fresh and up to date.
PANTRY INVENTORY
We have a storage room in our basement where we keep most of our bulk food items. I try to keep a year’s worth of food storage in our home as well for other emergency’s, disasters or financial hardships. We rotate through it and store our everyday items in smaller quantities in the food storage pantry in our kitchen.
This pantry inventory is a great way to keep track of what we have, when it expires so we know when to use it up buy to avoid food waste and what we need to replace food items we have used up. It’s an easy way to keep us on track and provides a list for us to use when we are grocery shopping.
Adding a few extra items to your regular shopping trip can help you begin to slowly build some food reserves!
FREEZER INVENTORY
Storing food items in your freezer can be a good way to add to your food storage. But you want to be careful to keep track of what you have on a freezer inventory sheet so you don’t forget about any items. Knowing what you have on hand makes it easier for you to plan your family’s meals so you use up items that you already have on hand. It’s great way to save money when feeding your families.
FRIDGE INVENTORY
Finally, these Fridge inventory sheets help you keep track of your perishable items that you need to replenish from your refrigerators. These are usually times that are included on your weekly or bi-weekly grocery store trips. Nothing is more frustrating than forgetting about an item and having to throw it out because it has spoiled.

Diane- Glad you found it!
I love your ideas, thanks! However, I must say, I don’t know how you are able to keep your fridge so neat and clean. I’ve tried to do this to our fridge, all it takes is for my husband and teen age son to go in there just once, and it looks as if a bomb blew up in there. I just gave up. Any advice/suggestion?
Ivory- Thank you! It doesn’t always look this way. We have the same problem at our house too! I just try a few times a week to rearrange/reorganize. The struggle is REAL…lol!
I didn’t see the pantry, freezer and fridge inventory sheets in the family binder kit you sent. Is this something extra? I couldn’t find them in your printable library either. Thank you.
Click the yellow button at the bottom of this post and you can enter your email and they will be sent to you! Thanks!
