I am back with another fun foiling project! Foil is all the rage right now! And with the Fourth of July coming up quickly, I just knew I had to create a fun “shiny” foil project for some fun Fourth of July Decor. I don’t usually do a lot of decorating for the Independence Day…just a few pillows and a couple of red, white and blue items placed around my home here and there.
So I thought it would be nice to add a bright spot of color to our Living Room Mantle. I created this Stars & Stripes Sign on my computer and then simply printed it out on my printer. Heidi Swapp’s Minc Foil Applicator machine, is so much fun to play with. The heat bonds the foil to the black ink and you can foil up just about any print you can imagine!
Place your printed image into the plastic sleeve. Cut a piece of colored foil of your choice and place it on top of your print. You will want to make sure the COLORED side of the foil is facing up. Then run the plastic sleeve through the machine. Then simply peel away the foil and admire you shiny new print!
I couldn’t decide if I wanted the sign to be red or blue…so I made one of each!
It’s nice to be able to have choices! Want to make one too? I have created a black and white version of the sign that you can print and foil it up with a minc machine. I also created some colored signs so you can print those if you don’t have a minc machine to use. Click on the links below to download.

I think I will leave the blue one up and add a few more red, white and blue pieces to my mantle to finish it off! What do you think? Are you a fan of the foil craze? #foilallthethings
