A twist on the tasty and popular Saltine Cracker Toffee perfect for Valentine’s Day. Great Valentine’s Day Treat or gift idea.
SALTINE CRACKER RECIPE
I have been wanting to make Saltine Cracker Toffee for a while now but haven’t had a chance to get around to it. I decided to make a Valentine’s Day version and used white chocolate instead of a milk chocolate.
This stuff is dangerous…I would suggest you make it and give it away! You can make this with white chocolate, almond bark, milk chocolate or a dark chocolate. You can also add any type of add-ons that you like. Some great add-ins are m&m’s, sprinkles, nuts, crushed candy canes, etc.
SALTINE CRACKER TOFFEE
I have also seen people substitute Graham Crackers in place of the Saltine Crackers. So feel free to make any changes and adjustments to fit your personal preferences.
WHAT IS TOFFEE?
Toffee is a confection made by caramelizing sugar or molasses along with butter and occasionally flour. The mixture is heated until its temperature reaches the hard crack stage. Toffee is sometimes mixed with nuts or raisins and topped with chocolate.
HOW TO STORE SALTINE CRACKER TOFFEE
The toffee can be stored in an airtight container, to prevent the toffee from softening at room temperature, or in the refrigerator, for about two weeks. It can also be frozen for about one month.
Toffee is a must during the Christmas and Valentine’s Day season. Therefore, you need to give our favorite TOFFEE RECIPE a try! It really is so simple to make!

A twist on the tasty and popular Saltine Cracker Toffee perfect for Valentine's Day. Great Valentine's Day Treat or gift idea.
salted butter, cut into small cubes
light brown sugar
white chocolate or semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup sprinkles
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with foil. Spray the foil with non-stick cooking spray.
Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer on the bottom of the prepared pan. Break the crackers in half if necessary to fit around the edges.
Place the butter in a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan and melt over medium heat. Once the butter has melted, add the brown sugar and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 3 to 4 minutes, or until the sugar has completely dissolved. Remove from the heat and immediately pour evenly over the saltine crackers. Use an offset spatula to spread it, ensuring that all of the crackers are coated.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until bubbling. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the mixture. Allow the chocolate chips to soften for 3 to 5 minutes, then use an offset spatula to spread the chocolate into an even layer. Drizzle with white chocolate. Sprinkle with M&M's and Sprinkles.
Cool at room temperature for 15 to 30 minutes, or until the pan is able to be handled easily, then refrigerate for 1 hour, or until the chocolate is set. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
