OTHER ORGANIZATION PROJECTS
If you are interested in taking a deeper look into some of the spaces in my home, check out the following posts!

I bet this would be even better with ham bullion! Goya makes one!
I will have to look into that! Sounds yummy!!
This looks amazing! Can’t wait to try it! :)
Thank you Jamielyn! xo
I am completely obsessed with soup – throw in potatoes and ham and I’m even more obsessed. Can’t wait to try this. THANKS!!
Yummo! Thanks for sharing! XX I made one similar to this last week. Didn’t last long. : )
I love a good potato soup and this one looks yummy!
Thanks Emily!!
Made this tonight ~ thumbs up! Can’t go wrong with easy AND delicious…thank you! :-)
Thank you for letting me know and so glad to hear you loved it!!
This looks so delicious!!! Have you ever frozen it? I like making my soups in large batches and freezing some for later, I’m hoping I could do that with this recipe too. :)
I made this soup last night and it was so yummy! Did not change recipe except I added a cup of frozen corn, served it with some shredded cheese and some fresh french bread.
I am so glad to hear that! The corn is a great addition! I will try that next time! Thanks for sharing!
Very easy. I used 4 tablespoons of butter and 4 tablespoons flour. Also chopped up a couple carrots. Very good. Will be making it again.
Sounds perfect!! So glad to hear you enjoyed it! xo
Do you know how many servings it makes?
Could this be made in the crockpot?
We love this recipe but find it to be VERY salty, even without bacon or ham (and we love salt). Would you consider changing the recipe to reflect “salt, to taste” so we dont continue to add too much each time we refer to the original recipe? Thanks for a great option in our soup rotation!
Laura- Thank you for the suggestion. I am happy you will be adding this to your dinner rotation.
I have made this soup many times and it is the perfect comfort food. So delicious! TY for the recipe!
Juanita- So happy you enjoyed this recipe! Its a favorite of mine too!
So creamy & my stomach thanks you..lol! This soup is incredible!! Added some bacon on top. It was gone in minutes!
Natalie- I love bacon with it too. SO GOOD!
Thanks for sharing this yummy recipe!! It has all my favorites in soup!! I’m not waiting for cooler weather to enjoy this!
Kristyn- Me either. Making it again tomorrow!
How can I make it gluten free?
Can I substitute the flour for cornstarch?
Laura- Yes you can. I would use half as much cornstarch as you would flour. For example, if the recipe calls for 2 tablespoons of flour, use 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Hope that helps. Enjoy!
I made this the other day and it was very good, but I wish I would have started with less pepper. Mine is very spicy for me with the 1 tsp. I added less salt as I wasn’t sure if the butter should be salted or unsalted and I used a little of both. I used Better Than Bouillon.
What is it that you use? I will certainly be making it again, with minor adjustments. I want to put in some very finely chopped carrots too.
Diane- Great suggestions. Carrots would be yummy in it too! Usually, I use salted butter because that is what we have on hand and I also us Better Than Bouillon or whatever bouillon that I have on hand. So glad you enjoyed it and will be making it again.
Does this freeze well?
Chris- I have frozen it and it was just fine.
This is by far the best ham and potato soup ever. I have made it so many times and my kids LOVE IT!!! Thank you for sharing this recipe:)
Caroline- My family loves it too!
Delicious, Made according to recipe and it turned out wonderful. This will be my new go to for ham and potato soup..
Teri-So happy you enjoyed this recipe!
Thank you so much for sharing this super helpful and really easy to make ham potato soup recipe! It tasted amazing! Will surely have this again! Highly recommended!
Allyssa- Happy you enjoyed it!
One of the best soups there is!! Potato is my favorite & adding ham makes it even tastier!
Natalie- It is a favorite of ours too!
Love the ham!! This is on the menu, now that there is a breeze in the air! The whole family loves it!
Kristyn- Me too!
