HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE RANCH DIP
The ranch dip is so easy to make. Simply mix all of the ingredients together until they are smooth and creamy.
SHAPE RANCH DIP
To make the ranch dip into the shape of a carrot is pretty easy too.
- I just spread it out onto a platter and while wearing gloves, I shaped it into a carrot.
- Smooth it out with a rubber spatula.
- Take a damp paper towel to clean off the plate with any excess if needed.
- Then sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on the carrot shape and gently press it so that it will stick to the surface.
HOMEMADE RANCH DIP RECIPE
HOMEMADE RANCH SEASONING RECIPE
- ⅓ cup dry buttermilk powder
- 1 Tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 Tablespoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- 1 ½ teaspoons dried dill
- 1 to 1 ½ teaspoons dried chives
- 1 teaspoon fine sea salt

Make up this dry mix ranch dressing seasoning and then use 2 tbsp of the mix to mix into your ingredients above. Then save the rest to make more ranch salad dressing in the future. Store it in an air-tight container for up to three months.

The nice thing about this dip is that it can serve as a base dip that can be changed up by adding a few different tastes and flavors. Here are some great additions you can add in to the base ranch dip to kick up the flavor a couple of notches.

- fresh herbs
- greek yogurt or mayonnaise instead of sour cream
- paprika
- cayenne pepper
- hot sauce
CAN THIS BE A HOMEMADE RANCH DRESSING?
Yes! If you want to use this recipe to create a homemade ranch dressing to spread on a salad, simply add a little milk to thin out the dip so that is nice thin consistency to spread onto your favorite green salad.
