My daughter LOVES to bake and I LOVE that she loves to bake. My boys love that she loves to bake. On Sundays, she usually likes to make something fun for a Sunday evening snack. Who is going to say no to that?
This past week she wanted to use up some Oreos we had in the house. So she made these Oreo Blondies.
They didn’t last very long. We usually prefer regular brownies to a blondie…do you? But it was nice to have something different. I just nibbled a corner since I am really watching what I eat right now, but everyone else thought they were pretty tasty! We just used our Nestle Tollhouse Blondie Brownie Recipe and added some crushed Oreos too.
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups packed brown sugar
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups crushed Oreos or Chocolate Chips (or combination)
Combine flour, baking powder and salt in small bowl. Beat sugar and butter in large mixer bowl until creamy. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract; gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels. Spread into prepared pan.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until top is golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack.
Make these for your next family treat or party get together. They are definitely a crowd pleaser! You could also throw in pretty much anything that you enjoy…m&m’s, nuts, cranberries, butterscotch or peanut butter chocolate chips! Cater them to your own tastes!
